Descend from evidence to a decision you can defend.

SubsurfaceOS is decision infrastructure for subsurface resources. It pulls scattered evidence together, ties every claim back to its source, runs it through expert review, and turns it into a decision you can defend and revisit later. One way of working, adapted to each kind of resource, with mining live first.

Not short of documents. Short of coherence.

A project lives across reports, datasets, models, ownership records, permits, and people's notes. The evidence is all there. The clarity is not.

Someone still has to work out which claims hold up, which sources disagree, what the answer is really resting on, and what new evidence would change it. SubsurfaceOS makes that the product.

The shared workflow

Evidence attached at every step.

01 · Evidence room

Bring everything in.

Every source is kept in one place with its origin and version intact, so nothing gets lost or quietly changed.

02 · Claims

Tie each claim to its evidence.

Every claim points to the evidence that backs it or argues against it, down to the exact page. The system drafts; people decide what is true.

03 · Review

Check it the same way every time.

The evidence goes through the same fixed set of questions before anyone decides. What is supported, what conflicts, and what is still missing are kept apart, not blended into one score.

04 · Decision

Make the call, on the record.

A named person decides: reject, monitor, or advance. The decision is saved with the reasoning behind it, and can be reopened when new evidence arrives.

What it does

Everything ties back to the evidence.

One home for every source

Reports, datasets, maps, and notes sit together, each kept with its origin and version intact.

Every claim shows its evidence

Open any claim and see exactly what backs it, down to the page it came from.

The machine drafts, people decide

AI pulls out and organises the detail. Your experts judge what is true and sign it off.

Nothing gets buried

Conflicts, gaps, and open questions stay in plain sight, not averaged into a single score.

Decisions you can defend

Every decision is saved with its reasoning and the person behind it, ready for any committee.

It keeps up as things change

When new evidence arrives, you see what it affects and can reopen the decision.

Why it holds up

The reasoning has to hold up.

Anyone can produce an answer now. The work starts when a committee, a regulator, or a buyer in diligence asks you to stand behind it: which source the figure came from, who reviewed it, what they disagreed on, and what has changed since. A model can regenerate the answer. It cannot reconstruct that trail afterwards, so the trail has to be built while the work happens.

It starts with a source

A report states a figure, on a specific page.

It becomes a claim

So the project clears the first check.

It meets a contradiction

But another document says something different, and nobody has explained the gap yet.

It ends in a decision

A named person decides what to do next, and the record shows why.

Follow the build

Evidence changes. Your reasoning should survive.

SubsurfaceOS is still being built. The first version handles one full loop, from raw evidence through expert review to a decision you can defend and revisit. Mining is where we started.
